"Schlein and Meloni?" Simone Cristicchi answers like this: a slap to the left

Simone Cristicchi was a guest on Maschio Selvaggio , the radio program hosted by Nunzia De Girolamo and Gianluca Semprini on Rai Radio 2. The artist returned to talk about the controversy that arose after his participation in the latest edition of the Sanremo Festival. "We always tend to identify artists politically, but music has no factions, no colors. I must say that you have brought together the right and the left , you are as popular with Schlein as you are with Meloni...", De Girolamo asked the author of the Sanremo song ''Quando sarai piccola''.

" Yes, and this makes me smile - confessed Simone Cristicchi - I am very happy with this bipartisanship, or even superpartes, that generated my song. I have always been a free artist, I have never taken a political stance , precisely because I wanted my music and my art to reach everyone and it is right that it should be this way ."

Cristicchi then explained to radio listeners that he doesn't want to be the classic committed singer. But that he wants to dedicate himself only to music. "Obviously I have my ideas about it , like everyone else, I don't deny them and I'm not ashamed to express them when it's the right time and when I feel like it, but - concluded the singer-songwriter - I'm really happy to have made this song that more or less everyone liked".
